McCain Advisor: Another Terrorist Attack would HELP John McCain Win

Source

As part of a series on “The candidates and your money,” Fortune Magazine asked Senator John McCain what he perceived as the single greatest economic threat to the United States . McCain’s reply, after several seconds of staring “into the void,” was “radical Islamic extremism.” According to top McCain strategist Charlie Black, this response was no error. National security is McCain’s winning answer, no matter what the question.

For example, Black told Fortune that even though the assassination of former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto last December was an “unfortunate event,” it was useful to McCain in theNew Hampshire primary, because “his knowledge and ability to talk about it reemphasized that this is the guy who’s ready to be Commander-in-Chief. And it helped us.”

The Fortune interviewer goes on to say that “Black concedes with startling candor after we raise the issue” that McCain would also be helped by “another terrorist attack on U.S. soil. ‘Certainly it would be a big advantage to him,’ says Black.”

Washington Monthly’s Kevin Drum was scathing in his comments on McCain’s response. “It’s as if McCain is trying to become a parody of himself here,” writes Drum. “Is his answer to every question ‘Islamic extremism’? … Two things are remarkable here. First, that McCain genuinely seems to believe that Islamic extremism poses not just a threat, but a threat to the very existence of the West. This is science fiction territory. Second, that he apparently can’t come up with any better answer to Fortune’s question about economic threats.”

“It’s been pretty obvious for a while that McCain is going to try and turn the entire election into a referendum on national security, painting Obama as a 21st century Neville Chamberlain,” Drum concludes. “This seems like an early sign of just how far he’s planning to take this.”

For his part, Sen. McCain later expressed his disapproval of Black’s comments, saying, “If he said that — and I do not know the context — I strenuously disagree. … I cannot imagine why he would say it. It’s not true.”

Keith Olbermann on McCain's Connection to the HIGH Price of Gas

I was trying to tell y'all before, these ninjas are speculating and perpetrating! The high price of gas is a MIRAGE created by the gas companies and John mcCain is in bed with these fools! They pretty much run his campaign. I think its time that the assfuckery at the pump comes to an end. Its driving up the cost of EVERYTHING because because transport costs are out of control. I think I need to send Diane Feinstein an email because this is getting out of hand.

Sen. Obama Opts out of Public Financing for the General Election

alt : http://www.youtube.com/v/Snsnqbq_OCo&hl=en
I urge everyone to be a part of history and give what they can to Barack Obama's campaign. This is unprecendented in politics to have a candidate that is answerable to the people and not to corporations or lobbyists. Even, if you donate $5.00 a paycheck, thats better than nothing. Think of it as you treating Obama to some tacos.  You know he'll like that.

The time for change is NOW! YES WE CAN!

Fox News Calls Michelle Barack's "Baby Mama"

Click the Image to Watch the Video

I'll play devil's advocate for a moment and say that "Obama" and "baby mama" rhyme and if this had been on TV One, I would have been more tickled than offended but...

Would they do this to Cindy McCain?
Would they do this to Laura Bush?
Would they do this to Hillary Clinton?
Would they do this to any prominent WHITE politician's wife?

Probabaly Not. Actually, hell no.

Lets take a refresher course in Ebonics. A Baby Mama is the mother of your child, whom you are NOT married to and most times NOT still dating.  Michelle Obama has been married for more than 10 years. She is the antithesis of what a baby mama is and is devoted to her children AND her HUSBAND.

Now that the general election season is finally underway, expect to see some overt ugliness (read: RACISM) from Fox and the conservatives in general. Ninjas are making up whatever facts they can to dead Obama's momentum. The idea of a black first lady might be harder to handle than a black president. Michelle Obama is their main target, even though Obama has warned them to "lay off my wife." This Illegitimazation of Michelle Obama by calling her Barack's "baby mama" one of their more shameful moves. They have to do something to cover up John McCain's antique sensibilities. Black women put your helmets on, its going to be a bumpy 5 months.

P.S. Something about minority conservatives makes my skin itch.

OPEC Chief: "There is no shortage of oil"

OPEC chief, Abdullah al-Badri, spoke today at the Reuters Energy Summit in London letting the world know that there is not a global shortage of oil and that the high price of gas is driven up mostly by economic speculation.

Fancy he should say that because, I just read today that the U.S. Energy Deparment issued a report telling Americans to get used to these high ass gas prices. Funny, because that sounds like they're speculating.

So, if the countries who are selling the oil to us are saying that there is no shortage of oil and our goverment is telling us that an oil drought is driving up prices, then theres some 'splaining to do. According to al-Badri, most of the money incorporated into gas prices is actually taxes. So what's actually happening is that instead of these companies paying these taxes out of pocket, they incorporate it into our gas price. To add insult to injury, they are hyper-inflating the price of gas based on a SPECULATION. I'm sorry but that sounds like some Ms. Cleo shit. Because there is no regulation on these speculations and how it affects market price, these gas companies can charge what they want, without having to explain their RECORD profits. Al-Badri has urged world leaders to get in a room, do the math, and hug it out until they find a solution. From the tone of his voice, he seems pretty confident that the numbers confirm the adequacy of global oil production. In conclusion:

DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!

The life is being sucked out of us because of a lack of governmental regulation on these oil companies.  Its a shame what these Republicans are doing.

If you aren't drunken with rage yet, then let me borrow your gas card.

Watch the video of al-Badri here.

The Wife John McCain Left Behind

Source

Now that Hillary Clinton has at last formally withdrawn from the race for the White House, the eyes of America and the world will focus on Barack Obama and his Republican rival Senator John McCain.

While Obama will surely press his credentials as the embodiment of the American dream – a handsome, charismatic young black man who was raised on food stamps by a single mother and who represents his country’s future – McCain will present himself as a selfless, principled war hero whose campaign represents not so much a battle for the presidency of the United States, but a crusade to rescue the nation’s tarnished reputation.

McCain likes to illustrate his moral fibre by referring to his five years as a prisoner-of-war in Vietnam . And to demonstrate his commitment to family values, the 71-year-old former US Navy pilot pays warm tribute to his beautiful blonde wife, Cindy, with whom he has four children.

But there is another Mrs McCain who casts a ghostly shadow over the Senator’s presidential campaign. She is seldom seen and rarely written about, despite being mother to McCain’s three eldest children.

And yet, had events turned out differently, it would be she, rather than Cindy, who would be vying to be First Lady. She is McCain’s first wife, Carol, who was a famous beauty and a successful swimwear model when they married in 1965.

She was the woman McCain dreamed of during his long incarceration and torture in Vietnam ’s infamous ‘Hanoi Hilton’ prison and the woman who faithfully stayed at home looking after the children and waiting anxiously for news.

But when McCain returned to America in 1973 to a fanfare of publicity and a handshake from Richard Nixon, he discovered his wife had been disfigured in a terrible car crash three years earlier. Her car had skidded on icy roads into a telegraph pole on Christmas Eve, 1969. Her pelvis and one arm were shattered by the impact and she suffered massive internal injuries.

When Carol was discharged from hospital after six months of life-saving surgery, the prognosis was bleak. In order to save her legs, surgeons had been forced to cut away huge sections of shattered bone, taking with it her tall, willowy figure. She was confined to a wheelchair and was forced to use a catheter. Through sheer hard work, Carol learned to walk again. But when John McCain came home from Vietnam , she had gained a lot of weight and bore little resemblance to her old self.

Today, she stands at just 5ft4in and still walks awkwardly, with a pronounced limp. Her body is held together by screws and metal plates and, at 70, her face is worn by wrinkles that speak of decades of silent suffering.

For nearly 30 years, Carol has maintained a dignified silence about the accident, McCain and their divorce. But last week at the bungalow where she now lives at Virginia Beach, a faded seaside resort 200 miles south of Washington, she told The Mail on Sunday how McCain divorced her in 1980 and married Cindy, 18 years his junior and the heir to an Arizona brewing fortune, just one month later.

Fox News Host: Barack & Michelle's Fist Pump=Terrorist Fist Jab

Fox News host E.D. Hill calls Barack & Michelle's celebratory "fist bump" a "Terrorist Fist Jab." I wouldn't believe it unless heard it with my own ears.

If you are still afraid of the word "terrorist" in 2008, then you need to be clawed in the face by a polar bear. Sometimes I wonder what type of person Fox News panders too; I'm suprised they have an audience who even takes them seriously. Tis' a shame.
